God's Good News of Salvation

Conceptual Image of Salvation

What is so incredible about the Good News of Jesus is that it really works. Other religious views of how to know God and how to be brought into the eternal family of God are views that point to man's attempts to please God by having good philosophy and or good works. Bible salvation stresses the sinfulness of man and the grace of God. The following is the simple but effective plan of salvation as taught in the Bible.

  1. God Is a Holy God. That means that He is perfect and has no moral or ethical (right or wrong) imperfection. See Isaiah 6:3.

  2. Man is sinful. See Rom. 3:23. This means that all of us are morally unacceptable to God.

  3. The penalty or consequence of sin is spiritual death and eternal separation from God. See Rom. 6:23.

  4. The only provision God has made is the gift of His Son. See John 3:16. God sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross and pay the ultimate penalty for sin in our behalf.

  5. Man must repent (admit sin) for his sin and by faith receive and trust in Jesus as the one and only Savior. Read Acts 20:21 and Acts 16:31.

The truly Good News of God for man is that even though man is sinful and truly undeserving of God's love that God chose to love man so much that He provided a way for man to know Him and live with Him forever. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son so that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16.
