We are associated with the churches of the Southern Baptist Convention. We do not put denominational loyalty above loyalty to Jesus Christ or the Word of God. A study of church history will demonstrate that Baptist churches were the first "non-denominational" churches.d

We do have specific teachings that we are convinced are taught in the Bible and we do not minimize them but we also believe in the priesthood of the believer. In simpler words, what that means is that every person that has received Jesus as the true Savior from sin now has living within them the Spirit of God and in clear accord with biblical teaching has the guidance of the Holy Spirit in understanding the message of the Bible. We work with other evangelical churches in reaching a spiritually lost world with the Good News of salvation through faith in the complete work of redemption at the cross. Our theme verse states, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto Salvation." Rom. 1:16.
